Review

Formed in Naples with Leo and durante, he achieved a European success with La Cecchina, ossia La buona figliuola (Rome, 1760), one of the most represented comic operas of the century.

In 1776 he moved to Paris, where his supporters faced Gluck in a controversial sound about the future of the opera. However, he left in France works of high quality like Roland and Didon.
