Review
Born Anton Rösler, he was a counterplayer in the court of the princes of Oettingen-Wallerstein, one of the best wind orchestras of his time. In 1789 he became a chapel teacher in Ludwigslust, serving the Duke of Mecklemburgo- Schwerin.
His trumpet concerts are the best of the classic repertoire for the instrument. His Réquiem was played in Prague in December 1791 at the mass in memory of Mozart.
