Čáclav (Bohemia) - Saint-Germain-en-Laye
Review
International career bohemian pianist: he performed in the Netherlands, Hamburg, St. Petersburg and Paris, where he was a favorite of Maria Antonieta. He fled from the Revolution to London, where he promoted the expansion of the Broadwood pianos keyboard.
He is attributed to be the first to place the profile piano in the audience. After the ruin of his editorial business he served Prince Luis Fernando of Prussia, to whose death he dedicated his Élégie harmonique, and finished his days in the service of Talleyrand.
