Tijvin - Liubensk
Review
Officer of the Russian Navy, he turned around the world before dedicating himself completely to music. Member of the Group of Five, in 1871 he was appointed professor of the St. Petersburg Conservatory and had to study in depth to be up to it.
He was a master of the orchestration and formed composers such as Glazunov, Stravinski and Respighi. His Spanish Capricho is a brilliant tribute to the music of Spain.
