Review
He studied in Rome with Carissimi and brought Italian style to France. He worked for the house of Guisa, the Jesuits and the Sainte-Chapelle, and collaborated with Molière after his break with Lully.
His sacred work is immense and of high quality. The prelude to his Te Deum is known all over the world as the tune of Eurovision.
