Marino - Rome
Review
He spent almost his entire life as a chapel teacher of the church of Sant'Apollinare, linked to the German College of Rome.
It formed the Latin oratorio, a sacred drama without a scene, with a narrator and strong chorus. His Jephte, with his heartbreaking final lament, was very admired. Among his students was Marc- Antoine Charpentier.
