Review

Formed in Rome in the surroundings of Corelli, he was a violinist of amazing technique who went through Italy and Germany before settling in Amsterdam in 1729.

His collection L'arte del violino, with its 24 whims of extreme difficulty, anticipates Paganini's virtuosism a century earlier.
