Cobra - Lisbon
Review
He replaced his father very young as an organist of the Cathedral of Coimbra and in 1720 he moved to Lisbon, where he coincided with Domenico Scarlatti, then master of the Royal Chapel. They both influenced each other.
He was an organist of the patriarchal cathedral and vicemaestro of the Royal Chapel. Its very inventive key sonatas are the best of the Portuguese music of the 18th century.
