Deventer - Amsterdam
Review
He was an organist of the Oude Kerk in Amsterdam for over 40 years. His music, on horseback between the Renaissance and Baroque, unites the Flemish tradition with English and Italian influences.
He formed a whole generation of German organists, such as Scheidt and Scheidemann, so he was called «the maker of organists». His school leads directly to Buxtehude and Bach.
